Humble Beginnings
Launch Church Int’l before being rebranded was previously Jehovah Shammah Church International. JSCI, started as Jehovah Shammah Baptist Full Gospel Church and was founded during the summer of 1998, under the leadership of Ministers Nathanael Bray and Edna Perkins. Meetings convened weekly in the home of Minister Nate & Mrs. Angela Bray along with the home of Sister Cynthia Caro-Perez. Souls full of enthusiasm, faith and passion to please the Almighty God shaped the genesis of Jehovah Shammah BFGC.
On November 04, 1998, Jehovah Shammah Baptist Full Gospel Church, established its Christian name after prayerful deliberation of those in attendance. In the spring of 1999 Pastor Nate & Pastor Edna assented to the spiritual covering of Apostle Marshall and Prophetess Randi McGee.
The Lord God Almighty, through His precious Holy Spirit, led Pastors Nate and Edna into all truths of how to lay the foundation of His Church. With the help of Apostle Marshall and Prophetess Randi the Pastors Nate and Edna gained great insight of many spiritual impartations.
As it was in Acts the second chapter they continued in simplicity of heart, praising God, and the Lord added to the Church.
Moving forward in the Lord
Jehovah Shammah was founded by God in Christ through the obedience of Pastor Nathanael Bray and Pastor Edna Perkins, and they were Co-Pastors in common from June, 1998 thru June of 2003. Pastor Nate Bray went on sabbatical in June 2003 until October of 2003. It was at that time in October that Pastor Nate transitioned from Co-Pastor to the office of Assistant Pastor. Pastor Nate continued as Assistant Pastor from October 2003, through December of 2004 when he resigned with the intent of relocating to a different geographical and spiritual sphere.
On December 12, 2004 Pastor Edna was commissioned to the office of Prophetess. In 2007, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Jehovah Shammah Baptist Full Gospel transitioned into the name Jehovah Shammah Church International.
JSCI expands throughout Omaha
In January 2010 God began to show Apostle Edna Perkins the vision for expansion. Obeying God, Apostle Perkins moved to 2 services to be able to reach more people for Christ, an 8:30am and 11:30am service.
In early 2011 as Apostle Edna Continued to seek the Lord on how to expand the ministry, God gave Apostle Edna four key words “One Church, Two Locations” and in January of 2011 God then led Apostle Edna to construct a second location in the West region of Omaha.
By May of 2011 the property located at 5401 N. 90th Street that God released for expansion was brought to fruition.
During the expansion God also released our main campus located on 3020 Huntington Ave. which is located in the North East region of Omaha in the Miller Park area.
In November of 2012 Pastor Edna Perkins accepted the call of God was commissioned as an Apostle by her then covering and Pastor, Apostle Marshall Mcgee.
In 2015 Apostle Dr. Edna Perkins and Pastor Jalaal Wade transitioned to a new spiritual leadership covering under Pastors Drs. Martin and Lynnell Williams.
In January 2017 after almost 6 years at 5401 N. 90th Street, God spoke and led JSCI to transfer all energy and efforts to the main North East Miller Park campus. This was to seize the opportunity to grow bigger and stronger than ever, and to prepare for an amazing future.
Reaching for the future
In early 2018 God gave Apostle Edna the vision to pass the Lead Pastoral Baton so that the work of God could continue. God also spoke to Apostle Edna Perkins, Pastor Jalaal, and Pastor Willie Barney about preparing for a new season, refreshing and rebranding.
During a Mid-Summer conference in 2018 at JSCI, God spoke through Bishop William Murphy and confirmed what God was speaking concerning Rebranding, and Refreshing.
In January of 2020 with that vision confirmed, and with the leadership of Pastors Martin and Lynnell Williams, Apostle Dr. Edna Perkins officially passed the Lead Pastoral Baton to Jalaal Wade and Re-branded which changed the name of our church to Launch Church Int’l.
Apostle Dr Edna Perkins still remains as the founder and overseer of Launch Church.
This is a powerful and a pivotal moment for our future. God prepared Apostle Dr. Edna Perkins and Lead Pastor Jalaal Wade for this moment.

God has given us an amazing vision and desire to help Rebuild -Restore -Reignite and Launch Kingdom-minded Citizens into their spheres of greatest influence to impact the world. We have a passion to see everyone we touch, complete the work that God created them to do!
